i know its jealous, but what is that getting them?

I guess it's a coping mechanism. People try to find ways to cope with uncomfortable situations and make themselves more comfortable. So acting like their personality is superior to the prettier girl, they make themselves feel better.

I know we hate girls that are prettier than us. We call them whores or say they are cheap or stupid. But men are the same way, a couple of good looking guys walked past me and my husband, he made a comment about them being gay.
Just laugh it off and enjoy life, that is what we did.

everyone is pretty in thier own way.and why call it jealous, because its not the looks that gets you.its whats in side that counts.the sweeties and good hearted person and have looks that dont look good can becme the prettiest person because of there ways.so looks mean nothing its whats in side that people looks at.good luck,
