A candle in a paper bag with a bit of sand in the bottom is quick easy and popular. A link below will give you great ideas for decorating it. You can also use a bean can or some other empty can. Use a nail to punch decorative holes in the sides of the can and it will project the design on nearby objects such as walls or ceilings. The can will also be safer for indoor use than a flamable bag.
