I don't know how you interpret cool, but having your ex-wife living with you has a set of problems for you both.

I think for a temporary situation designed to help her get on her feet and move on eventually, it is admirable. You are sacrificing for her and you both are flirting with emotional issues being in close proximity after being committed to each other and then rupturing that union. As a temporary situation, it is workable, but difficult. It may be preferable to leaving her on the street, especially if she has your children on the street.

If you intend to get back together, I suggest you do so with the intention of getting marriage counseling. It is not fair to the children to drift into and out of their lives and the life of their mother. If you are going to get back together, give yourself a chance at keeping in together and get help with it.

If you plan to have relationships outside of your ex, don't attempt it while she lives with you. That's just a sit-com and not a workable situation in reality.

seperate lives?
