Oh...wow...so maybe I'm not alone. It's so weird and wrong that girls are having sex at that age, yet I've never wanted to have a kiss. Maybe it's just me, though, but that truth is that I'd like to focus on school now and save my virginity for my wedding night years from now. In my opinion, you are an extremely intelligent girl and I commend you on your efforts to remain that way.

That is just how you feel, its perfectly normal. I was just like you, I had crushes and thought there was something wrong with me because I hadn't gone any further than crushes (it didn't help to have friends teasing me about it either) . My crushes would last forever but whenever the guy tried to do something about I would back off, I still liked him, I just didn't feel ready. It is not a bad thing and if you rush it you will feel horrible, I was forced, I wasn't ready. Since it didn't happen at my pace now it just doesn't feel right at all. It not a bad thing that you're not ready, you just have more time to think about it, build it up so when it happens its just that much more special because you will think more of it than just a plain old kiss, etc.

ur like me, just wait for the right person and decide what u want first, and i'm 17 aswell for about 6 months and i know that as soon as a baby comes into ur life u don't have time to do things u would usually do, so, basically, sort out ur life first it is the best thing eva. Those 14 yr old girls are pregnant because they want the baby bonus which is $3,000 and their lives are already ruined.

because all those 14 yr old girls have low selfesteme and feel they need to do what ever so they have attention - they seem to think that if a boy has sex with them he actually cares about them - which of course is not true as boys that age are driven more by hormones than anything else.. they just want sex
at 17 you are more mature and more intelligent - possibly had a better upbringing than most of those other pregnant girls did and have self esteme so you dont feel like you need a boy to make you feel valuable

That is perfectly ok, you just haven't found the person that strikes your interest yet. Believe me pregnant is not cool when you are young, I got pregnant when I was 18 and now have a 12 year old daughter, I had to grow up very fast. So do not fret. Take your time, you sound like a person who wants something serious and that is hard to find these days.

Honestly, I don't know who all those 14-year-old girls are; but there's a serious problem if they're pregnant. There's a serious problem if they're having sex at all at that age (do you know some girls that age aren't even menstruating?) but a real serious problem if they go ahead and let a pregnancy happen.
Don't compare yourself to them. They aren't the norm, no matter how many of them you're heard about.
When it comes to you - chances are you haven't met the right boy yet. You may be the kind of girl who isn't up for kissing any old boy you're with, and that's the way you're really supposed to be. Some girls can kiss any-old-body. Some aren't comfortable with that.
Don't worry about any of it. Don't compare yourself to anyone else, no matter how old they are. Do what's right for you.

you are mature and intelligent. Don't worry that you don't feel ready, when you meet the right person you will feel ready. I didn't get my first kiss until I was 17 and didn't lose my virginity until I was 18. (A few tried, though, and I just didn't want to yet). The guy that finally got me ended up marrying me and we had a good 10 years together until he cheated....sorry, rambling there, but don't worry!! It will happen when it happens!! You are not unusual, you are just waiting for the right guy

If you don't feel ready, then maybe you just aren't. I am sexually active at the age of 21 with my boyfriend, and yet my best friend at the age of 20 has never been kissed. Go with your own flow, and don't let anyone pressure you into anything.

Thats totally not even true im 14 and im not pregnant and ive never even really "went out" with a boy the farthest ive ever been with a boy was maybe holding hands but thats only with guys that i really trust or that are like my best friends!

Each and every girl is different.Each individual are ready at times.To be honest,half of those 14 year old girls werent ready and they now know that.Often times the Younger teens who have sex are not aware of the risks,consquences,and their bodies and ways to protect themselves properly.That is how they end up pregnant.I commend you on standing up for this,if you arent ready dont allow those 14 year old girls to influence you or allow your boyfriend or any guy to force you into something you are not ready for.You will be ready eventually,and when it happens you will be so happy you waited even for that kiss.It is different for each person,and those who do it so young allow themselves to force themselves into it.Dont allow anyone including yourself to push you into doing anything you do not want to do.Good luck and Congratulations.
