Don't worry about it so much. Girls like dating bad boys, it just seems to be a cardinal rule of life. It's not like they've married them so if you wait until they are after 25 -most- of them will be available to some degree. 25 seems to be the magic number, I think it's because they are serious about looking for a mate then.
What happens to the Gangster guys by 25? Who knows? Most of all the dirt bags that you now wonder how they ever got a girlfriend, usually end up in dead end jobs if they finish HS.
