I've looked on EBAY and Amazon but the cheapest is $45.00. Having just started the year, I have just spent a lot of money getting my room ready and my students set for a good year. I can't justify spending $45 for a DVD. Does anyone have any ideas?

Go to ebay and put this number in the search section: 160024395458

It ends in 19hours though and the bid is at $9.50 right now, 9/3/06 10:11pm PST.

Buy it nows:

#300022518893 - $12.00 + 4.00 s/h; or

#280017337145 - $17.99 + 2.50 s/h.

Good Luck!

If this is a book that is part of your curriculum, or that other teachers read with their 5th graders too, then you should get your librarian to order it for the school. You may not get it this year, but if you let her know, she could have it in time for next school year. Right now you should just see if you can check it out from a public library or video rental store.

Try downloading it for free. Have a look around on the internet, try sites like PIRATE BAY, MININOVA, Kazaa, etc...

Bit torrant is a program you can use for things like Pirate bay and Mininova. Then you can burn it onto a DVD yourself and only pay for the blank DVD (if you have a DVD burner in your computer).

Good luck with that!

If that doesn't work, perhaps you can buy the VHS cassette? That must be cheaper.

I don't think you have looked well enough.

On Ebay, it is going for as low as $9.50 + $3.00 shipping

Or, $12.00 + $4.00 shipping

**************

I like that idea of a teacher STEALING movies via the internet.

Pirating is ILLEGAL.

Showing a PIRATED copy to an audience (paying or not) is ILLEGAL and can get her fired.

Yeah, smart idea... <<< rolls eyes >>>
