1. Getting ripped off
2. Getting robbed/mobbed (pretty common)
3. Not knowing Taiwanese+Mandarin (could lead to dangerous situations)

There may be some riots going on. Lots of flying insects that may bother you during summer time or at any county side. For westerners, the language is the main problem, as you may get misunderstood and often quarrel or some sight of "fighting" may occur. Motorcyles may acidentally bumped into you as sometimes motorcyclist tends to drive on the pavements.
