In short, no...if it's a new or newer car it will already have warranty coverage from the factory...and most late model used cars can qualify for extended warranty coverage, which has deductible amounts far less than the $250 number you quoted.

Let's say you have the car for 4 years...that's $1000 you will have paid them in fees...and since the plan only pays half (or less), you would have to have a $2000 or higher problem just for the plan to break even. And that's assuming that they will even pay half to begin with, plus I'll bet that it doesn't include labor costs. That means it would have to be something like a tranny or engine rebuild... and the odds would be strongly against that happening. That's why they want you to buy their plan.

It's a waste of money. Save your cash for routine maintenance.

Hope this helped.

depends on what type of car I own; right now I have an 02 Bravada and an 04 Sienna and only spend that much in a year if I need tires

Depends on the car you own. If you owned a Viper then yes, repairs are expensive and toilsom. If you owned a GEO then no. You can put ductape on it.

what does it mean "up to 50%"?
does it cover both parts AND labor?
make sure you read the fine print.
is this offered by the dealer where you bought the car?
we need more info

Probably not.

That is some suspect wording - "up to 50%".

Maybe you need them to pay for something and they only feel like paying 10%.

Seems like a scam.
