hardwood or carpet? why?

carpets easier on the knees unless i'm crawling then it gives me rug burns. hardwood is easier on the fingernails when clawing at the floor.
oh you meant for walking on and how it looks. duh i'm sorry, i got distracted.

I love hardwood because you can clean a whole house with hardwood in a matter of minutes. I takes a couple of hours to do a decent job of vaccuuming a house full of carpet and then you still do not get all the dust and bacteria out. Hardwood is much cleaner, you can wash your floors ever week if you like but you can't clean a carpet that often and if anyone in the house has allergies, hardwood is much better for them.
And a nice clean shiny hardwood floor looks beautiful and lasts forever.

My house has hardwood, and as long as I have dogs,I know I will prefer it. Sometimes they wake up in the middle of the night and make a mess, and hardwood is much easier to keep clean. Bleach and a mop and I'm done.

Hardwood looks so much better on a guys head than a rug! And everybody always makes fun of the guy behind his back - I know I do!

I like hardwood floors in the living room because its easier to keep clean, but I like carpet in the bedrooms since its warmer and cozier :)

I have both in my house, but I prefer the hardwood. It's just so much easier to keep clean.

I love hardwood, it's so elegant and classical. With some nice Oriental rugs scattered around.
