The Montreal Canadiens will be the big surprise this year. Signing Cristobal Huet to two year contract is a big thing. He's done a very impressive job for the team and bringing them to the playoffs last year. Now that he's clearly the #1 guy, he'll get more wins and more shutouts. Adding Sergei Samsonov is also great addition for the team. He's young and talented forward. I see the team going deep into the playoffs this year.

I'd say the Penguins may be a big surprise BUT not because of Free agents. It would be the team having better chemistry, bringing in Malkin(hopefully), and Jordan Staal.

well if Huet is as hot as last year the Habs will be right up on top.
i think with Tanguay going to the Flames will really help them out and you could see Iginla get 50 goals and over 100 pts.
well Anaheim which shouldn't have a team, but with the a-s-s Pronger leaving Edmonton will help them but there goalies aren't so consistent so we will have to see.
and Nashville which shouldn't have a team looks pretty good only if Vocoun stays healthy.

teams that will fall apart is Toronto, Detroit will be in a stronger division then last year st-louis and Columbus will be thougher to beat.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!

As much as i dont like pittsburgh, i will have to say pittsburgh. They have Jordan, sidney. All they need is some organization and be a together team and they will do good.

Aint you glad i didnt say the hurricanes. But i think they will be a good team this year.

A big suprise this year would to see last year's bottom-of-the-barrel team (St. Louis Blues) turn it around in one year and actually win it!

Now =THAT= would be amazing!
