I got selected in one of the shipping company in ghana. I am asked to pay usd 280 for visa fees which is as per ghana immigration law 406.

Is it ok to pay. I m from India

If you need to pay the embassy for the Visa, that is correct, Visitors to Ghana need to have a Visitor Visa, since the shipping company is from Ghana and you are going to work for them, then you need a Ghana work permit, this is what the fee is for. You pay the money to the embassy there in India.

You have to contact the Ghana High Commission in India to find out how much it costs.They would be in the best position to help you.And by the way who are u paying the money to?Isn't it to the Ghana High Commission in India?
