It depends. IF you are legally separated then it possible that you could get nothing. If not then yes you can. You are then still legally married and with not prenup in place you are entitled to have. You also have no kids together so that is something else that can just hurt your case. If he legally adopted them, then that would help you out.

One question I have though, is this being done solely for revenge? If so, I have to say that is kind of dirty, but it's you life and if you are happy with doing this then more power to you & go for it.

Why haven't you finalized your divorce after four years? I would think that you would want to move on with your like since he has obviously moved on with his. Most states you would not be entitled if the separation is legal. I would talk to your lawyer. But either way I would hope that you wouldn't ask for any portion of the money because the money doesn't really belong to you.

You can see that all comments say you should leave him. I live in Ontario I know first hand one phone call to the cops he is gone and you need to put a restraining order agianst him immediatly. He will never change without help even then I find that unsure of. he has been like this all his life just by the way his mother defends him I bet his dad used to hit his mom , its a visiuos clycle that needs to be broken The mother is old school and thinks men are aloud to hit women but things thank god have changed. I know its hard if you still love him but believe me that is not love its a controlling issue. Get out now hon it will not get better There are alot of shelters in On. and I know they will also help find you a place to live as I dont know what your financial living is but there is help I promise.

unless u signed a prenuptial agreement, if u are still his legal wife (meaning u are not divorced), u are legally entitled to whatever he incur but take note that would not only apply for assets but also liabilities... meaning if ur husband owe money, u as his wife will also owe the same amount regardless if u know about it or not...

As long as ur still legally married....... yes ur entitled to half.

(as long as u have not signed any seperation/divorce papers because that states that u have no right to any money etc..... after the signing of that paper).

If ur still technically married most states will see it as joint assets.. what u need to do is get in contact with ur lawyer and see if u can have his assets frozen untill u go to court.. but im pretty sure that technically he's till liable to give u have since ur not divorced but check with ur lawyer to make sure..

As long as you are still the wife, it doesn't matter who he is with right now. A wife is a wife is a wife. Yeah, you're entitled to your share of everything and anything the man has.

I guess if you happen to live in the United States and happen to live in one of the states that entitles you to half.
