I have my screensaver set on 'My Pictures Slideshow' and it starts running after 7 minutes. Whenever i come back to it and get online, everything is SO slow. i have a DSL connection, too, so i'm not used to that. it's not really a problem, 'cause i run 'Disk Cleanup' real quick and it takes care of it, or sometimes i restart my computer, but i'm just curious to know why my screensaver is the only thing that causes this to happen. Thanks. : )

cheers,
Shauna!

Maybe u have a lot of pictures for 'slide show' and this gat u a lot of space from u computer's memory. try another screen saver....
Maybe u computer 's memory is full; u have to clean it from time to time and save u music, movies, data & pictures on dvd, or cd.
After u solve u problem, pls send me an email, i'm curious too what was the problem.

Mine dont take 7 minutes to start running. However when I use my pictures for my screen-saver it takes like a minute to load. I use a free program from www.slide.com which I use my make my slide shows there and then use them as my screensaver. It also haves the option to use your slide show as your desktop background. You keep the background you have but at the top it shows your slide show running at all times unless you shut it off.
It could be a large file and its taking too long to load.

Screensavers really do take up a lot of memory and they really aren't needed. Kind of a cute fad at first but then you will find you prefer not to waste the memory.

Hope that helps.

Try using the "marquee"...You can type "Shauna's pc" or whatever you want, and it will scroll across the screen and not take up a lot of memory. Looks neat
