I am happy that football season is back! I don't see the national champion coming from California. Ohio State is tough and several Big XII teams will also be in contention for that title. It'll be a tough race all year long.

College football is back. There were some great games on paper, but not enough lived up to the hype. USC is really good. I was pulling for Arkansas, but USC's defense was amazing, even better than last years. Booty did pretty well. I wonder why Carrol played 5 RBs, pulling a couple out of redshirt. I guess he realizes that recruiting is stacked for the next while, so he knows wasting a year of eligability won't matter too much. I think that Ohio State and Oklahoma will go to the championship and OU will win it all. The Pac 10 isn't too great so if USC got to the title game, they wouldn't be prepared from playing teams with no defense.

Well, maybe I am being overpumped for my team but I think the University of Oregon Ducks are a serious threat in the Pac-10. But no one knows that because we get so little media attention. The Ducks may not beat the Trojans but it will be closer than last year!

Cal looked bad against Tenessee, which tells me that USC is going to win the Pac-10 again. however, they have a wicked hard schedule, and I just cant see them going undefeated. I think Texas will come out of the Big 12, Michigan will win the Big 10 (unfortunately, still love my Gophers), and I like LSU in the SEC. one of those 3 teams will win the title in the new bowl game this year.
but seriously, when do we get a playoff?

I'd be a lot more pumped about NCAA Football if they'd end the popularity contest (even though the best team did win last year) and implement a playoff system.

Well, Cal didn't fare to well, so I will save my worship for a more worthy conference, like the Big Ten or Southeast. I am sure the Horns would be willing to give you a rematch.

heck yes i'm pumped...as a lifelong Irish fan, I really hope this is the year, but unfortunately, i think they are WAAAAAY overrated...that win over GT was not exactly what one expects from an "elite" team over an uranked one.
