After trying to conceive for about a year and a half I started to take clomid. After a couple of months and a whole lot of prayer I was able to conceive. I took up to 100mg of clomid. So good luck and keep trying. Always pray and keep this problem before God. I'm a living witness that he will answer prayer. I'll keep you in my prayers.

I took it 22 years ago. You take a pill each day for 5 days and you have to have extensive blood work done. The first month I took it I became very ill. I had to wait a month before taking it again. The next time I took 2 pills a day for 5 days. I became even sicker in the head. My body felt no pain but I was dizzy and felt as if I could not hold my head upright... like I had been on an amuzement ride. The third month which I had already told my husband that I did not want to take this anymore because I was so sick... but I tried one more time. This time the doctor prescribed 5 pills per day for 5 days. The pharmacist would not fill the perscription. I had to get this at two different pharmacies due to pharmaceutical regulations. The maximum was 3 pills per day for 5 days. It was very expensive and took my entire earnings to pay for... but it was worth it... I concieved that month. It actually helps you ovalate. You can produce more eggs which increases your changes to have multiple births. I had a beautiful baby girl who is now 21... I imagined the next time I would have to go thorugh this again... but I was wrong... 2 and a half years later I became pregnant on my own without any clomid. I'm sorry this was so long but I wanted to tell you my CLOMID story! It is a drug sent by GOD!

I was on Clomid for 4 months, to help produce more eggs for an IUI procedure each month. After being on it for 4 months, we did not conceive. My doctor told me that by that point (4 months of Clomid) 65% of couples woudl have conceived already.
We had to switch to daily injections to conceive.
If you are going to begin taking clomid, be prepared. Some 'weird' stuff can happen. Dont drive a car until you see how you react to it.
I was at the grocery store walking to my car with my hubby one time while I was on it...I saw a parked car and JUMPED out of the way because I thought it was moving backwards...then I realized it was parked. So, by no means, am I tryign to scare you, just letting you know that everyone handles Clomid differently. I know people who have taken it and have no side effects of it at all, where as I felt dizzy and 'saw' things at time, and the lady above was sick form it.
Good luck to you!

Yes I got pregnant with twins while taking clomid. It was my first try too. Although, my obgyn said it is very rare to get pregnant on the first try with clomid. I had IUI (in utero insemination). Good luck!!
