Sidekick cell phone troubleshooting.?

my sidekick accidentally fell into a bath tub with shallow water. It was in it's case and when I pulled it out of the case, it said "device is turning off". It won't turn back on, but it still charges. Is there anything I can do to fix it myself?

Take out the battery, shake the sidekick, put it and the battery in a warm dry place and pray..Sometimes it works. Your warranty is not good and they can figure it out if it has water damage. Sometimes being patient and drying it out works...good luck!!! I dropped my cell in the cat water twice and it still worked after drying it out..
