As good as your intentions may sound to you, put it this way.. what if you're boyfriend was flirting with your friend and you caught them? Wouldn't you get mad too? You should look at this situation from your friend's point of view, see how she feels.
Be a good friend and tell her like it is: how her boyfriend asked you out and you kinda of want to go out with him. You're only hurting yourself and your friend. You don't want to lose your friendship do you? Especially not over a guy now!

Tell her that he asked out and you turned him down flat. If you have no interest in him then you are not trying to steal him away.

just tell her and understand that when you do her feelings are going to show because thats her boyfirend thats putting the hits on her firend.and if you do go with him then you have know respect for your firend then.ture firends are hard to come by
