This is precisely why I hate college ball.

I think the BCS is better than just a poll but playoffs are the way to go. Problem with playofs is the same though. Controversy just moves down the poll 25 places.I don't think you could do it the way NCAA basketball does it. You don't need to go 64 teams deep in football. The Gonzagas and the Princetons don't have much of a chance to have the miracles that they do in basketball.

i think the bcs should be removed completely. i'm tired of people saying that computer's don't make errors. of course they do because they are programmed by humans to do whatever humans tell them to do. so if humans want to tweak the formula to favor big market teams it's not very difficult to do.
i never minded the poll system i just think it should be more evenly distributed and transparent. like who's voting for what and where.
of course a playoff is the only true answer. but the current bowl system is such a HUGE money maker i don't see that happening any time soon.

You know, I hate these polls and systems. It's too confusing. I'm only now learning what I can about it. Now, if they did what the NFL does and have a traditional playoff system, I might be able to understand what's going on. My brother likes the AP poll better than the BCS.

SHOULD? The TRUE National Champion SHOULD be determined by the winner of the playoffs that the NCAA SHOULD have!!!

Playoffs is the only solution. Except it won't bring in as much money as the bowl system.

They should have playoffs, like in the pros, that way there would be a true national champion.
