Most Democrats are not Liberal.
And while it's true that Democrats are leading in most of the polls in most of the states and on the national level it's not so much because of their platforms as it is a backlash against Bush and the far right. What most Americans are saying is that they want their country back.
Democrats had better get their message out quickly, with a strong platform, if they want to stay ahead in the polls.

No, because he actually is telling the truth. Conservatives stand no chance because the lot of them are a bunch of racist, hypocritical, liars who screw the poor over while the rich get richer.
Plus, the media isn't liberal, if it were liberal then there wouldn't be any need for having conservatives in the mix as well.
