Where is the best place to stay in Vegas that is moderately priced ($150-250/ night)? Not on the weekends.

We've stayed at several hotels and Treasure Island was by far the best and the price was adequate, 70 dollars a night. Try going from Mon thru Thurs and avoid the weekends and seasonal dates like New Years Eve, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day..etc....For cheaper rates try these sites:

the sahara or harrah's. also try the monte carlo. every time i see a package deal they're at the top of the list. depending on when you're coming you can sometimes get great deals at the ny/ny and the flamingo. many of the fly and stay deals involve nice hotels. if you're only coming for a few days that may be your best bet.
p.s. don't stay at the imperial palace. it's pretty ghetto. you're much better off paying a few extra dollars for someplace much nicer.
p.p.s. now that i see your price range you can stay just about anywhere. try the venetian. for about $175/night during the week you can stay at a 5 star hotel. it's the nicest in vegas and if it's only a couple days it's totally worth it.

The Orleans is an excellent place to stay especially if you are driving into vegas. If you are flying in you would probably rather stay in a strip hotel. Try the Stardust or the Luxor. Also the rooms in the Hilton run really low sometimes.

I recommend the Orleans (about $40/night). It is on Tropicana about a mile west of the Strip. It has big, clean, well-appointed rooms.

It also has free shuttle buses that run to the center of the strip and back every 20 mins.

WARNING: The absolutely cheapest place to stay in Vegas is called Wild Wild West (19.99/night). You will regret every minute of your stay there.

The Imperial Palace is mid strip and fairly inexpensive. You should check out each casino's website and sign up for their free customer card. Once you do that you'll receive offers from them for discounted hotel rooms. It's worth the time to do so. I'd recommend the following:

MGM Grand
Flamingo
Harrah's
Riviera
Stardust
Treasure Island
Mirage

I recommend the imperial palace because the prices are reasonable and it is located in the middle of the strip. It do sent really matter about your room, you wont be seeing it much anyways because you will be in Vegas.
