Incomplete question!
Grow up! You will have to deal with people forever....so do it.
If you feel "threatened" then either report it or move on....and I suggest you grow a thicker skin....dang! How ***** is it to not be able to tell someone in charge that you feel "threatened".

I agree. You need to take all threats seriously. Report the bully. Why wait for something to happen. Maybe next time he'll think twice before he starts making threats fake or not. You do have laws as an employee that protect you and you should never feel uncomfortable or threatened at your work. If you still are not sure what to do call The Department of Fair Employment and Housing. They can be every employees best friend.

I am not a bad man, but if any one threatens me, they had better be ready for the police first, and then a lawsuit, and some self defense if they follow through with the attack.
I am not a person who would attack another person, nor threaten another person.
Their problem would be that I am a gentle person, who has been in the United states Navy, the United states Army.
I have studied Karate, and tae kwan do.
I don't get into fights and I am not loud and belligerent.
I would talk to a lawyer if I were you.

be careful. i got into a situation at work with a very dangerous individual who covered his tracks and i in my naievity did not see what was happening until too late. someone gave me advice to leave job when i explained the bully was a supervisor and very well liked. I did not listen as i thought i could survive but it ended with me leaving anyway with all kinds of rumours about me and bully emerged the victor. I think some times it is best to get out before the mind games etc start to destroy you. If you get evidence though and have someone at work to turn to who is higher up than bully you may be able to find a way through. Chances are the person you have been threatened byisa word bully - that he tries to manipulate through words and fear.

Nobody has the right to threaten, and it's never justified to jeopardize anyone. Address this directly, honestly, and take a friend.
If the threat includes language which indicates that you are to be harmed, or another is, this should be called to the police immediately.
Follow through. Your hunch is important. Trust that uneasy feeling and share this with an authority (police). If you're overreacting, they'll help you recognize it.

MAKE SURE that you do not attack first and keep a couple of witnesses in case the person gets physical. Try to avoid them. It is true though, a lot of people talk more than they can do because anyone can talk big and not back it up. YOU BETTER take it to the manager otherwise both of you can get fired for not "REPORTING THE PROBLEM."

Report this to your supervisor immediately. If it is not taken care of to your satisfaction, you may need to quit and possible try to recover for the harassment. Keep witnesses with you at all times.

YOU NEED TO TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY!!!
Most places do not tolerate any kinds of threats or harassment. You must report it to your immediate supervisor/manager as soon as possible. Also, have your witnesses ready. Most places will keep them anonymous anyhow.
You cannot take any threat lightly. Do something about it before (God forbid) it's too late.
