to the left of me are college folks who I don't like. There's no one to the right of me becase I live in a corner house, kind of like a culdesac. Though to the north east lives very kind old people with a grown daughter, they're okay in my opinon.

Right now, I have the best neighbors I ever had in my life!

I really liked the people who lived there first, but we called them "The Borrowers" (like the book of the same name) because several times a week, they would knock on our door and "borrow" a cup of sugar, a cup of milk, some eggs, flour, salt, stickers on Christmas Eve to cover up the price tags on the gifts they were wrapping...the list goes on and on (we made an actual list of the stuff they borrowed once and it took up two whole pages! LOL!) and they never returned anything except my husband, who they "borrowed" to move all their stuff into the truck on their last day. They even "borrowed" the packing tape from us. I have no idea what they would have done without us.

The neighbors we have now come over and give US (!) tomatoes, parsley, basil etc from their garden and they invite us over whenever they have a barbecue.
What a difference!

around here, people just don't talk to their neighbors at all -totally different from where i grew up-but that was the good ol days. But the truth is, i have a Christian family on one side (she's a principal of christian school) but they dont associate or talk to us because we don't go to their church! On the other side is a recluse lady that lives alone, hardly ever comes out, and says hello to my husband but not to me. across is a couple that have no children (my 2 boys grew up here). -a side note to that is when my son broke his knee in the front yard not one of the neighbors came to help at all- my son's friend called 911 & the fire dept called me at work. It kinda sucks

My neighbor attached to me is a very nice pleasant woman. She just moved in recently and we get along well. There are some other nice ones on my block and across from me as well. The others I'm not crazy about. They think that they are all that and they need to grow up.

I think love thy neighbor as thyself doesnt apply to law breakers like illegal immigrants. I lived in a Texas town until I went to a McDonalds and was the only non-hispanic out of 20 people. I dont like mexican music or mexican food for thanksgiving. Moved away and one mex moved in next door.

I have great neighbors, we always stop to talk if we are out in our yards and the last big storm we had everybody was knocking on everybody's door to see if they were alright.
