V tricking Evey that she was captured by the bad guys or finger men I think, and then torturing her and shaving her head off.
I thought it was great acting (I know it was cruel) but I thought it was good thinking of V doing that just to make her a stonger person. and thats what she wanted, to be strong like her parents. plus it was a good idea becuase of the world she was living in, if it happened for real, meaning if they caught her a couple of days after V let her go, she wouldn't feel anything ...no pain...no fear.

Nah...although she may eventually get used to the pain, the pain is still there...Yes, we can observe how training motivates someone to do her best in getting adjusted to live in any environment...Telling us that not only the good guys can make use of the current technologies, but the opposite force can utilize them as well.

It was the ultimate act of "tough love". It was brutal to watch and you know V hated doing it, but as you said Evey was a better person in the end when she had no more fear

Awesome movie.

I read the comic book 25 years ago, and was worried that too much was going to be cut from the original story.

But now I think that they did a fantastic job editing it without changing too much of the basic storyline.

Viva la revolucion!

Before, there was a feeling of sexual tension between them, but V crossed the line, not in the sense of betraying her trust, but by putting the needs of the people above his own. He wanted her to be strong, and someone else mentioned "tough love".

It also characterized a distinct ambiguity of morality... in order to protect her, he had to tear her apart until she was able to choose her path.
