if its a guy a play station 2 game or something, or a computer game if they dont have a ps2 or any game on a video console e.g. xbox, gamecube, psp
if its a girl (u should specify in ur question) then i guess a gift card to abercrombie or american eagle (prob. american eagle if shes only 13, would be more appropriate if u didnt know the kid as much, but if u know what store she likes, just get her a gift card of that store u can choose the amount at least 50 tho
ps. games usually cost 50 as well, but u can get cool ones for as low as 20 sometimes

A purse or a gift card to claires. Atleast thats what a girl would want. A boy you can get hime some kind of video game.

Try getting a mall giftcard or a bank giftcard so they can spend it at any store they want and not be limited to one store....or mp3 players are cool for both genders......and they will probobly use it more than any other toy or gadget...good luck

An ipod or things of that Nature are just too expensive, and most 13yr olds wont understand the value and cost of something like that (because they're not responsible or mature enough), so I would recommend that, but I would suggest the latest video game (not the Actual Xbox, but the games you buy for it) or latest CD.
