the area I see with smart layout is that it has no scientific tests or the different "archives" to base it on. definately you want to take a art course with it and even a sewing course if you can. I would also see if they offer any thing on types of wood etc. I took it and its not as easy as you think. It pays to be knowlegeable about materials.
