True, MTV is a bunch of crap and they play those same damn songs over and over on the radio... There's no creativity in hip hop anymore =(, but I think that your just acting like yourself. I'm guessing you grew up in a well respected home where maybe all you listened to was jazz or classical music. That's the way I was kind of raised as well... My Mom would beat me when I was younger for listening to Rap or Rock music or not playing my piano when I was supposed to. My friends always say that i'm so uptight that if I ate coal i'd poop out a diamond because I have a treat a girl like she should be treated and not as a plaything. lol I like some forms of Jazz but my favorite kind of music would have to be old school rap. More thought was put into it than today's rap and pretty much all of the artists had their own idividuality.

It all depends on what u consider "old age"....lol. Cause it really has to do
with how healthy a person is, ( as far as people acting old ). Usually a person
in their 20's-30's just get tired sometimes. And I think some people are more
mature than others....regardless of their age. My son is only 17,....and he has
become a very, very, wise soul. But he had to work on that. If people are fine
with the way they are......they don't feel the need to change or grow up, etc. I
used to have alot of energy. And now I don't because of chronic health probs.
So, don't keep looking over your shoulder, as you run this race in ur life. Jog
at your own pace. That's about it......

When I was 14, I was partying with college hippies and 30 year olds. We'd have actual discussions and debates about deep subjects like politics and religion. I've always watched PBS documentaries and 60 Minutes.

I do like loud music, though, and raucus humor. I smoked a lot of dope at a lot of concerts, too.

Most people's behavior comes from a quest for pleasure. If you learn to find what's pleasurable to people your age, you may just find more common ground with people your own age.

I don't know if it is learned or natural. My mother was a librarian and accounting teacher, if that tells you anything.

You are not "nuts" at all...you are just cut out of a different mold...and enjoy a more relaxed quiet life than others who want more action....noise and stimulation. Of all the people in the world the ones who get the focus are the ones who make the noise..not the ones who have to listen to it....so do what you like best and didn't' worry about it. If you were showing signs of pulling back from your family and friends then you might be depressed but that is not the case here....you are showing your individuality...so enjoy yourself and accept yourself...you might change later in life...especially if you meet someone who wants to share their life with you....so take it one day at a time...best wishes...from Mama Jazzy Geri

All it means that you are just more mature than other people your age, I'm sort of the same but not quite. I like jazz instead of mainstream, and I feel that not everyone our age can appreciate other types of music. Its because everyone is still trying to be young, and cool. Of course not everyone will like these things, but some where down the line it all adds up to the maturity of the person and how they act.

Its basically just part of who you are in my opinion... most people at 10 like to play pokemon and tag while others at the same age will have other likes and dislikes that are generally more often regarded as 'more mature things' like reading or something of that nature... I think alot of it has to do with how you are raised, also.. You happen to enjoy things that are often depicted as being done by older, more mature people :)

well i agree with you about the music , thogh i mightb e too young to haver that kind of view( 12), but some are like that nutarally, surprisingly little kids caz be often without knowing, they can ask pretty insightful, more mature, sensitive questions, that adults could think of. not as in those anying questions but acual good ones, but most is adapting to the ppl around you aftects your behavor a lot

I was the same way, due in part that I basically raised my self so I found myself older than my years, ( on my own since 16) and then I realized as I got older I missed out on soooo much. Slow down enjoy your youth, if you can..........you have a long way to go.

I think think some people mature more and have more sense than others. the kind of music, TV, and things you like are just you. Everyone likes what they like. I dont blame you, 95% of today music sucks.

Some people are 'old souls' and if you believe in reincarnation you'll understand what I am saying. I am a very old soul.
