You spend all your childhood and teenage years trying to understand the gift you have so you culture it study it and craft it, you go to college and cultivate it (the college thing for a qualification primarily only to realise that you dont know what you want anymore and doubt your ability, but with the added problem of knowing only one thing Music. Ok ultimatley it's called diversifying but what if nothing else makes you truly happy?

It is common for guys at your age to be confused about what you want really. Don't worry too much. Which road you take is immaterial. It is what you do during the journey, that will determine your destination. You are still young. So you have time on your side.
I mentioned that it does not matter which road you take when you are the crossroads of life because there will always be sideroads for you if you wish to change. If you set your heart on whatever you have chosen, you will have nowhere to go but the road to success!

You might like to try some travelling and I don't mean a package holiday. I went treckking in NZ - walking in remote rain forrest for 4 - 8 days at a time and saw very few people. It helped focus my mind on what was really important in my life as there were no real distractions. By the time I was on the way home on the plane I had got things in perspective and the answers were much clearer.

Follow your heart. No matter what you do, you may question it. Do what makes you happy. If it is the wrong thing that is ok, as long as you learn from it. Life is just a journey and sometimes there are twists and turns in the road. Anything in this world that lets you explore is going to be a good thing. I would say you're not so much at a "crossroads", per se, as you are in a state of perpetual TRANSITION.
Life consists of an endless SERIES of transitions, especially when you're young. Ideally, we all "settle down" when we are ready, and life then takes on a more stable mode.
I once aspired to a career in the music industry, but ultimately took a different path in life. Use your education to help finance your creative goals. If you succeed in music (which can be QUITE competitive), then, MAYBE, you can quit your day job!!!
