I mean for Real Go Back to Playing Just Music! .... Mtv was Personally responsible for turning Micheal Jackson, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Bruce Springsteen into the Superstars that they were..... And there wasnt a Better Time In Mtv than when you got all the quirky Videos ..... such as Kajagoroo, Wall of VooDoo...

Wow..i have actually stated my opinion on this in other questions on here. MTV sucks..it was so cool back in the day with Martha Quinn and Adam Curry...and remember when the most number one song ever was always Thriller?? MTV should not even be called MTV anymore...they don't play videos..and the ones they do play suck! At least back then when they had a show on, it was really cool...like Remote Control!! And the whole little MTV News thing was really cool..ya know, with Kurt Loder...in the words of Dire Straits...I WANT MY MTV!!!!!!!!!!!

Well not the old videos from the 80's they kinda sucked. But they should play just music again..Some rock with out all the sh!tty bands now.. play some Stone Temple Pilots and Alice In Chains..bands like that. All of this new rock is just Corprate rock.they suck. And they should stop play only rap when they do play videos at like 1-2 in the morning.

right on man! videos..thats what im interested in..there are too many "specials" mixed in with some reality stuff..there used to be a show..called friday night videos on channel 4 in the bay area(CA) many years ago..and played nothing but videos..loved the 80's music! great artists like men at work, midnight oil and tears for fears-they are no more-history..although the present does yeild some decent artists like the fray and red hot chili peppers.. I want my MTV!

whilst I do locate myself observing a number of the shows that they have (i'm getting addicted even when I hate them), i honestly omit the days while it grew to become into only about all, if not fullyyt music video clips or a minimum of music typical shows. they could desire to a minimum of substitute the call of the channel...this is develop into deceptive! VH1 is a little greater clever, a minimum of a touch greater of their programming is music based (a touch), and that i (unfortunatly) have not got MTV2 or Fuse, so i'm out of success except i desire to computer screen CMT...

Yeah i do..i think they're all pretty much like that..even when they came out with mtv2 it started out just playing music then that went the way of mtv..no more music..i think the only one that still mostly plays music is FUSE

Well, I wasn't around then, but mtv is a really good channel. I mean you have trl which shows music videos on the top 10 countdown, they play music videos randomly in the mornings. I love the shows they have. oh well to each his own.

Absolutely!! I remember when MTV started..I know, telling my age here...but it was too COOL!! All videos with some news thrown in. It was wonderful. I would sit and have it on for hours!!!

yes...I remember TRL back when it was 2 hours long, no celeberties, they played each video from start to finish, no audience, and carson daily and sometimes Jessie Camp was on it. Now it's what a 30minute show!HAH next thing it'll be small commercials with random VJs on it.

MTV BLOWS! No, I am glad they don't show videos because I don't want to see any of the "performers" unless they are showing them after being kidnapped by Al-Quaida.
