I will be 23 next week; I have 3 kids. It is too soon for ME. That said, if you don't want any more kids ever ever ever ever ever ever and a million more evers, then it isn't too soon. But do you remember some of the things you used to say 'never' or 'forever' about? I mean, I was going to have a pink corvette with 'Barbie' painted across the hood in sparkly glitter the minute I got my license.....just make sure you consider that wants change as you grow, and you are still growing mentally and emotionally, will be until you die. I think in order to have it done while you are still in the delivery room you have to sign forms a month ahead (you can change your mind after) so to be on the safe side assume you have 4 months to decide.....and then another 1-2 to change your mind. I just say, devote a lot of thought to it and make sure it is truly what you want. If so, age is not the issue.

Yes you are any doctor will agree with me. I'm 33 and have 3 kids 2 boys 1 girl. I had to get a tubal 'cause I had 3 c-sections and the doctor told my husband and me that another pregnancy was too risky. We had always planned for 3 kids, but I was hoping to go for a 4th. My daughter, the youngest, is 29 months old and I still cry and I'm depressed since I had the tubal. Many people don't know the feeling and it really hurts. Whatever you decide is your choice, but many doctors won't do it 'cause of your age.

You should probably wait until you are a little older because you never know what could happen down the road. You might just change your mind and by then it would be too late. Most places will not tie your tubes until you are 25 or have 3 kids so you might not even be able to find a doctor that would do it for you. It is a tough decision to make but if I were you I would just try a long term birth control like an IUD for a few years until you are sure.

As a young mom myself when I had my daughter, I don't think you are too young to have a tubal ligation. Doctors use this magical age because of their own convictions. I was 25 when I had my done. I would have had it done earlier, but my doctor wouldn't do until then. Lets face it, divorce happens in a 50/50 relationship. In the future, say something did happen, and you did want more children, you could always adopt, be a foster parent, or do a reversal.

Well, you should really make sure that you don't look forward to having anymore children. This can be a very tuff decision to make and you must be sure...you don't want to be at a point when it's five or ten years later down the rode and decide you want more kids. But if your sure (beyond a shadow of a doubt) that you need no more children than by any means necessary!
This is a choice that you have to make on your own, no one can make it for you. This is a serious matter, follow your heart! Sure I can give you my opinion, but I want you to have peace with your decision. And Peace means, no wondering or doubting...remember that!

I believe that you are too young to be making such a permanent decision. You should look into shorter term birth control like the I.U.D it lasts for four years. When you're a bit older you might change your mind!

I would not have done that at such a young age but its up to you what is not right for somebody don't mean its not right for the next person. But than you may have to find a Dr that will do this as well. Good luck

No,
I did the same thing and the Dr. did not want to do it. After I had a hard time delivering the 2nd one he did it. It was such a relief to not have to worry about it or take the pill which I felt was like poison. Two kids are plenty unless you yourself have doubts then do it!

I know here in Florida, most doctors wont do one before 25. You will have to check with your doctor. If you want one done, I think you should have one. You already have two children. If you know you dont want more, then there is no reason not to get one.

You are young but it still your decision, talk to your MD maybe you should get an IUD for 10 years just in case. It can be removed at any time if you change your mind.
