If i dont like something America, i have FREEDOM to express it and change it. Why do i have to leave? Is that my only option..to take it or leave it?
You bring your daughters, sons, fathers, brothers to war to fight for democracy and freedom in Iraq but god forbid an american wants to express injustice in the US of A, they should leave the America right?

in other words...the ones who think they are expressing themselves by telling me to leave if i disagree with policies of the govt, only shows how much of hypocrites they are for thinking that only they can have an opinion and the rest need to leave the country.

It surely is an option! Why would anyone want to stay someplace they're not happy?

Well, the only time I use that phrase is when some illegal is running around acting like a bafoon.

For example, here in south florida, in high school, there is a "Haitian Flag Day"... a "Cuban Flag Day" well.... its one thing when they bring the flag and show honor to their country (I mean, thats where they were born, so its understandable to have a loyalty to that country) but... they tend to get out of hand and start running around the school on that day acting like america sucks. Literally... they run around screaming about how Haiti is the best, Haiti rules, America sucks... and it makes you question... if America sucks and Haiti rules... why don't they leave??

People who say that believe they are more patriotic than those who question their government. What they don't understand is that without people (yes some of them are wacko but they serve a purpose) who constantly keep tabs on the government, any government even the US WILL take advantage of it's citizens. People often feel the government cares about them when in reality to every country and the people who are in control, citizens are no different than workers to a corporation. Many people realize that corporations don't really care about them personally, they just aren't willing to admit the same of their governement when history proves otherwise.

Also, many say that because they don't have anything to back up their position against your arguement. You'll notice that people who say that generally ONLY say that, one sentence answers.

Sure you can express and opinion and want to change something. I think the problem is when people who are here illegally express an opinion about what they want changed that people get upset with them. Also, if someone makes a statement that in general is disrespectful of the country then a natural reaction would be that they are welcome to leave.

For some reason people have gotten the idea that it's not ok to criticize America or our government- which is really stupid, because one of the main positives about America is supposed to be that we have the freedom to express our opinions without repercussions. Taking it or leaving it is not your only option- I think it's great to disagree with the things that you think are wrong, so that people will be inspired to try to make them better. That's the only way we'll ever make any improvements. As someone said, "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism."

Who would tell you to leave? Your votes determine who your presidential leader is and you don't have to leave America, you count as an individual as well. America isn't perfect, we have room to take criticism especially right now in America. We're supposed to be considered the United States of America, but we're really not united unless you mean by united our states are physically united. Our Pledge of Allegiance doesn't mean **** really... Most grade schools are just required to say it maybe because it pertains to the struggle that America went through to become America. Those are just some things that I see that I don't like about America. If you really don't like an aspect of America, find out and ask like your doing now, what aspect you don't like about and try to voice your opinion about it. Get different ideas from different people (like myself) and see what their views on.

Hopefully, i've helped you a little with your question!! =)

That's what they dont understand. The first amendment was there so that we may be able to talk what ever we want about the government and not end up "missing" or in some freak accident with no witnesses.

You are absolutely right. You do have the right to express yourself. But understand that they are expressing themselves as well. They are saying that the country would be better (in their opinion) without you. That is protected speech as well.

Firstly, I listen and if they have a case, I accept dissent...
If the have no case and their way is the French or terrorist way then they need to stop..
And it is my free speech right to tell them to go to some nice Islamofaschist nation, or France, where they will be amongst like minded fiends ...
