Absolutely amazing. Although I think they worked better together than apart. They needed that competion to keep each other sharp. I think most of McCartney's recent work isn't nearly worth his Beatles and some of his Wings work. I only wish I could have been alive to witness it.

Being a total Beatlemaniac and witnessed the phenom myself, I would agree that Lennon/McCartney were right up there when it comes to great and prolific songwriting duos.

I do own cd's of both, but Paul McCartney is definitely my favorite of the two. I've always loved his music. John Lennon was a little too controversial for me, but I do like his music.
