Hi Beverly. There is a website that's completely free called Obit Central. It lists obituaries from papers all over the country from decades ago. I have found quite a few on there of deceased family members. I provided the link below.

Go to your local library.
They should (and probably do, since they are one of the few that do keep archives of that) have archived local newspapers.
Also, check with your local historical society, or the historical society that is in the town the paper is from.
You might also be able to contact the mortuary where the person is buried, if you know that.
And, last resort might be to contact the "High Point Enterprise" office. They probably also keep their archives.
WARNING: You MAY have to use a micro fiche reader, but if you do not know how, the library (or where ever you go) will be able to help you.

Does this count quantity? i became out partying final Saturday nighttime, and that i wakened and began reading the morning newspaper... the undertaking became... The newspaper became stilled rolled up and on the backyard! LOL Or grab a pencil actual rapid, and scribble on the paper that the axeman palms me a sparkling awl and congratulates me on triumphing the lottery.

Most newspapers have archives on line but I don't think they would go back that far. You local library should have the paper on micro fish.

call in to newpaper office to see if there any story about it. other way is to go to libierty to do some reseach paper of old new paper
