Its just cause they havent made any great games for it yet, wait until games like Gears of War, Too Human, Mass Effect,
Bio Shock, Assassins Creed, GTA, and Halo 3 come out because right now the only must have game out now is Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion.
Then if you still board after that then you need to get some serious help!

Well on its own with only Hexic (the stupid puzzle arcade game it comes with) the XBOX 360 is pretty lame. But once you get Call of Duty 2 (or any other cool multiplayer game), and a bunch of friends the 360 becomes really fun and addictive.
Your problem is probably that you don't have any new games.

I'm still using my original XBox and I don't want to buy the 360 for the same reasons you mentioned.

..none of the game titles on the 360 interest me and i've always been a sony girl, so i guess i wait for the ps3..or the wii!..

I dunno about boring, I feel the same way about it I felt about x-box when it had been out almost a year. I felt like selling it because there werent any killer aps. But the GREAT games are on the way, and now would be the worst time to bail out.
