Sounds like it was just an ingrown hair. And that can be caused by anything, you know? Maybe your jeans were just rubbing the wrong way that day, or your underwear were too tight, whatever. I wouldn't tell her. I mean, if she had a boil, or something on her private parts, she would probably be too embarrassed to tell you for fear of grossing you out. I mean, sometimes TMI does more harm than good, ya know?.And if it isn't painful that's pretty much a good sign it was just an infected or ingrown hair. Just wash it good, which I'm sure you have, and put a little antibiotic on it. Now, if you think your question is kinda embarrassing, this answer is even more so. This is an age old remedy. Want to clear it up fast and remove the ingrown hair without poking around? Take - sounds crazy, but it works - spread some Elmer's glue-all on the area, and let it dry. When you peel off the dried glue, the infected hair will come out with it. Works great at removing stubborn splinters too!. Just don't spread it too much around! And if it doesn't clear up, then yeah, check it out with a doctor. Because if it is something more, then she definitely needs to be told if it will affect her. But I wouldn't alarm someone unnecessarily.

May be a pimple or a Cyst. Some cysts won't go away without medical treatment. I would tell her, but don't worry about it. Make sure you go to the doctor though, if you don't it could get worse, or take a long time to disappear.

Could it be a pimple? I know people can have them down there and when you squeeze the stuff out, it will eventually disappear

go to the doctor...it probably just an infected ingrown hair....but either way...it could be an std...i wouldnt tell the girl until you find out

go to the doctor asap. it could be a pimple or an STD defintley tell your partner because she might have been exposed to it.

go to a doctor first and see what it is...and if it is anything she should know about then tell her. (no need to worry her or embarrass yourself before finding out first)
