At one point of time I used to life white color. It reflected my mindset altogether. Now, it's black all the way. Nothing beats black. Be it mood, attitude, punch, seriousness or for that matter the whole personality...color black sets the right kind of "bold" impression. We cannot really generalize these colors to life at large and say it's all black or white. It's more of a relative term. We have been thought from the beginning that color white represents goodness and what is right - color black represents bad and evil. But I take it this way, our choices in life, understanding of life events, opinions and attitudes about people and objects are driven by early experiences and most often consequences of an action. You like a color as there might be a positive experience with it. Something like soothing to the mind and senses at a particular point of time. E.g. Black can have a positive effect on me as I liked my girl friend's black dress. I can start generalizing that color to any object or person wearing black. It's more a subjective experience altogether, what say?

In the information I've seen:
pigments ~
white is the absence of color while black is all colors together
light spectrums ~
black is the absence of light while white is all light together
Life is a full spectrum & a full palette with as many variations with absolutely very few being black or white.
Death can be percieved as Black.Life can be percieved as White
So my answer is kinda like a tennis fan, where "White Is Right".+2 ;-)

You can not say either black or white are a colour...
1) Black is an absence of colour, so technically , you can't even see black.
2) White is all colours, enough said there?...If I were to choose a favourite colour in white, it would be green.
I believe that life is all colours, and shades, yes no and maybes...

Life is not either black or white. Life is filled with rich colors, deep reds, light blues, romantic purples, bright yellows, lush greens...
I don't believe life is black or white. It's only that way if you think it is, or you could look past that and see all the beautiful colors that surround you.
But my favorite color between the two is black.

"Life is either black or white".. Life has a color?
"NO" tends to be a more punctual state, while "YES" is more extended, what you called "grey area".
Ex:
Do I have oranges?
No - zero oranges
Yes - 10 oranges, 2 oranges, 5 oranges...
So, the grey areas exist within the dichotomy of the "YES" and "NO"..
Now, which one to prefer? If we are choosing colors, black being an absence of colors, white is the only choice..

I like black as a color and in clothes but I prefer to date white people since I am white. And yes life is either black or white....it either is or isn't.

Well, for a lot of people, life IS black and white.
I believe this is because they feel so strongly about their beliefs and ideas.
Of course there are "maybes" in this world . We deal with them everyday on many levels.
And neither one is my favorite color. It's lavender.

Life hasn't any colour.Its human soul which has colour and gives it to the life of human.There are many people who are black , gray or even white in soul they are who paint the scene of life.

I think life is gray (in the middle of black and white), but you can find black and white spots in everyone's life.
