Most unlikely. The odds of them making the Wild Card are less than 3%

I doubt the Minnesota Twins and the Chicago White Sox will have any type of melt down to allow the Los Angeles Angels to get in the playoffs.

And, that's will it will take. Not for the Twins or the White Sox to just loose, but, to have a complete collapse.

To answer the question...No. It is very doubtful.
But, they have a great team to build on for the 2007 season.

I hope not - I have nothing against the team and even have a friend who plays in their minor league system, but the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim?? God, how corny! Whatever happend to the Anaheim Angels? That's where they're located and that's what they should be called. That's what they were when they won the World Series.

Other teams of note: The New York Yankees of the Bronx....The New York Mets of Flushing Meadows....The Texas Rangers of Arlington.

Oakland and the current Wild Card leaders, Chicago, have the same record, as I write this. However, to catch the Wild Card, they have to pass 3 teams (Boston, Minnesota, and Chicago). To win the West, they only have to catch one team--the A's.

So it's more likely they'll catch the A's than get the Wild Card.

Probably, if they start a winning streak. The A's are already 8 games ahead of them in the AL West.

No the only thing they can hope for is that they can catch the A's. They need to put a win streak together now if they are going to make up any ground. time is running out.
