The clothing industry would be very different if it even existed.
Wars wouldn't be as likely because armadillos are very timid and frighten easily.
Car accidents would make up for the lives saved without wars because armadillos can't see very well.

We'd spend a lot of time underground and probably meet a very messy end on the road. Most of the armadillos I've seen have been road kill.
