I am relatively tall for my age (nearing 17 years, between 6'0 and 6'1). As such, I am also rather skinny/lean, and I would like to add a little more bulk to my overall physique.

For someone of my build (tall and skinny), what specific exercises would you recommend? Or, if the body shape doesn't matter, what in general would you recommend for me to add more muscle?

Thanks.

Start weight training and check out protein shakes. I recommend Muscle Millk or Myoplex. Both are good and you can get them in different flavors. Be sure to work your muscles on different days, i.e.

Day One - Chest and Biceps
Day Two - Cardio and Abs
Day Three - Shoulders and Triceps
Day Four - Cardio and Abs
Day Five - Legs
Day Six - Back and Abs
Day Seven - rest

Repeat

Be sure to eat lots of protein.

Good luck

To begin with, I would think that you should weigh around 185 lbs., based on your height.

You're telling me that obviously you are not even close to that. In order for you to bulk up, you should eat several small meals per day, rather than the standard 3.

As for an exercise program, there are 2 things that you should do. Firstly, you should do some cardio., and by that I am talking of you jogging 2 miles per day. You should as well do some weight-training, and this should be done 3 times per week. Some specific exercises would be for you to do leg raises, leg curls, squats, stomach cruntches, bench presses, and some arm curls. As well, on the days that you are not performing those weight training you should do some push ups.

By the way, one other thing that I do recommend that you have are the protein powder drinks. If you are lactose intollerent, then you should take the soy protein powder; otherwise, you should use whey protein powder.

Go to your nearest gym and have a discussion with a personal trainer. they will help you out - exercise and body building is very hard to get right so you need to have sound advice from a professional who knows what they are doing!
Good luck

To bulk up, do mostly squats, deadlifts, and bench presses. Just make sure you use correct form.
