I think the average is about 52 with a duration of about 20 minutes for each try. So do your mulitplication. Its a long time to be on your back.

I don't know if I'm average, my cycle was never regular in the 15 years prior to trying to have a baby. We were on clomid for 4 months to get the first baby. This baby we tried clomid for 2 months and then stopped because my husband changed jobs. After 2 months with no clomid we conceived on our own.

What is average?

That's the problem. All women are different. So, time to conceive is different for all women. And, different each time when you are ttc. Someone women 1 try some 5 and others wait for years.

Try the book 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility'. Lots of information!!

It can take as little as 1 month or as long as years. I became pregnant with my son the first month, the second one we have been trying for for over a year. Each woman is different and i do not think there is an "average" amount of time. Good Luck, Kelley

I remember reading about this before. I think the average is around 4-6 months. That's average...some people are PRESTO 1st try...others are longer...no worries!

It's really impossible to put a time frame on it as getting pregnant is a one in a million probability. However, I recommend bonking three times a day, daily for best results.

It really truely just depends on the couple. Personally, barring any medical problems, most couples I have known that have tried have gotten pregnant within 3 months.

Unfortunately, there is no good answer to this. It is different for everyone. Anywhere from 1 month to 1 year, is considered "normal" by fertility specialists.
