Depends on who they're descendents of really or so it seems. Very skinny and/or petite people can get them from the weight gain, and will have more of them if the skin is an elastic type. They'll show up any time there is a significant weight gain or baby needs more room. Other people get them too, but it's not as noticeable maybe coz they're used to stretch marks already.

I started noticing a few around 25 weeks, but they didn't get obvious as to what they were until around 30 weeks.

Which, considering that I'm pretty prone to stretch marks anyway, but was RELIGOUS with the cocoa butter, I don't think that's so bad.

I now have a 10 day old baby, and a road maps worth of light pink marks on my belly. lol...

When ever you gain the most weight the most drastically. With my first one I gained A TON of weight in the first 3 months and barely any there after, with this one I am gaining all my weight right at the end. I got stretch marks crazy with my first and with this pg I can't even tell if I have gotten more.

I got mine at around 7 1/2 months. Some women get them, some don't. The best indicator of when and if you will get stretch marks is your mom. If she got them, you'll likely get them in a similar way. This isn't 100%, but it seems to be fairly accurate.

Because the skin must stretch so much to accomofdate baby, and excess body fluid, its usually in the later months.

It depends on how flexible your skin is. If you are religious with lotion and keeping your skin in shape then u wont even get them, the best lotion to use if Palmer's cocoa butter, rub it on every day and u will be good. Good Luck!!!
