Like I considered to someone else...
If you're considering on buying an iPod, I'd think you're wasting your money. Or, rather-they're trying to get even more money than what you waste. I mean, you have to buy everything separately for it. If you want radio, you have to buy another device, which is about $20 or so dollars. If you want a microphone for it, more money for it as well. You also have to buy the AC charger for about $39.00. If you're traveling, you'd probably HAVE to buy it.
I'd suggest something from the Creative labs. The Vision M is awesome. I bought it-and it includes just about everything else the iPod doesn't. It has a built-in radio, microphone, comes with it's own pouch(although when it gets dirty, it doesn't look to pretty since it's leather), AND it comes with the AC adapter so you can charge it at home, or where ever so you don't have to rely on a computer to charge it.
I also heard that it has better video quality than the iPod.
The only cons about it is that if you get the black one, it scatches too easily (same goes for the iPod). A solution to that is to buy a different carry case for it. The other thing I didn't like(nonetheless I still love it) is the thickness. iPods are slim, I've got to point that out, but other than that, the Vision M has it all. Plus, 30GB storage.
And you know what I almost forgot to mention? Pictures of course(you can create slideshows too), but it can also be used as a Removable Disk. Which can be used simply to back up files-like a memory card. A USB device so you won't have to buy one of those little things that you can loose. You can set it to a 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. GB of storage so you can store other things on there, like documents, more videos, music, more pictures...it goes on. I have mine set to 4GB and I still have LOADS of more room for my music. It also has a reset button at the bottom so if something goes wrong, you can always reset it.
It's a bit expensive, but it's definately worth every penny. :D
You can go to www.creative.com and see what other versions they have.
or you can go to Best Buy.
Also, another great online store is Circuit City. There, they have reviews and comparisons of each mp3 player that has been released. You can check the wanted compared items Ex: iPod 30GB VS Zen Vision M 30 GB and see what's better.
Hope this helps. :)

f money was an issue, as it is for me, I would choose the San disk e250, especialy since it is only 189 dollars. It has built in 2gb memory, but you can expand the memory! What other Mp3 player does this?
In addition, it does the video feature which you don't get with the ipod unless you spend 300 dollars.expandable memory.
It also has a built in voice recorder and FM radio.
Its also a popular enough brand you get some acceories with it.
