If you focus on yourself and your plans in life (career, friends, where you want to live, etc.), then nobody can really 'use' you, since you won't become dependent upon them. Sometime you might meet someone who realizes the importance of the individual person, and the two of you will decide to join forces against the multitudes of sleepwalking, drunken 'daters' out there.
Love is just an addiction. A relationship requires two people of some worth to make promises for a future. The two are only related because the first one helps you put up with the second one until you get used to it.

How do you behave in a relationship? Are you rushing things? You need to get to know them as friends first. Are they who they say they are? You find that out with time.
Are you needy and clingly? Nobody likes that. Just let time unfold and see what happens. Don't get emotionally attached too soon. Don't read too much into anything. Be cool. Men like to chase, not be chased.

It takes a while to get to know people and then, sometimes, you don't always get on with the people you are dating. I don't think you are being used.
However, if you are sleeping with them to try and get them to turn into relationships, then you are doing the wrong thing. Don't give them EVERYTHING they want.

Dont date. Dont be used. If they want a relationship with you they can have that first, then after they have proved themselves wothy of your affections, then you can start dating with stringent guidlines in place. You'll be happier.
