No, goldfish stay small as pets because of the bowl. In the ponds they grow as big as keyboards.

THEY ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!
The RULE for baby-juvenile fancy goldfish is 10 gallons PER fish.
The ammonia from all of those fish is going to KILL THEM.
Adults will need 50 gallons PER fish because they get 12-14 inches long and excrete ALOT of ammonia. NO THEY DO NOT GROW TO THE SIZE OF THE TANK. You disgust me, what you are doing is equivalent to locking 15 large breed dogs in a small closet.

Yes but 10 goldfish is a lot for that size of tank. They will get bigger in a larger tank. A ten gallon tank is good for guppies I have about 15 in my ten gallon tank. The angel fish are in my 35 gallon and i have raised them from babies and they are as big as my hand, eight years later. Good luck with your goldfish!

You should have 1 gallon of water for each inch of fish you have in order for the fish to grow properly. Ex. 3 1" long fish, you would need at least 3 gallons of water.

How big they will get depends on several factors. Different types of goldfish grow to different sizes and how crowded they are will tend to limit their size.

Pleco's develop to approximately sixteen inches and don't develop to the size of their enviroment. you will locate fairly smaller varieties yet all are many times too enormous for a 10g tank. you will possibly desire to objective to get Dwarf Oto's yet they require a very mature tank and regularly die by using puppy shop situations. even nonetheless regardless of in case you preserve them alive they are going to consume far much less algae then you definitely might think of. No algae eater eats all varieties of algae nor will they consume purely algae. maximum folk feed their plecos and different such scavengers vegetables to supplement what they do graze. the main efficient algae cleansing critter is you. Algae desires 2 issues to develop, meals and lightweight. as long as you do no longer over feed your fish and purely turn your lights fixtures directly to view your fish you will possibly desire to be completely positive. you nevertheless might get some algae, even nonetheless it is going to by no ability be something fairly of algae scrubbing pad won't be able to safeguard. yet another tactic is to characteristic stay flora. stay flora will take up the comparable meals and lightweight and in maximum situations out compete the algae. in case you nevertheless want a scavenger that bargains with the occasional algae you could probable destroy out with a single secret snail or a small group of purple cherry or ghost shrimp. they are going to often consume the algae bits they like alongside with a proportion of fish nutrients yet will require a sprint scavenger nutrients on the section too. even nonetheless except you fairly need some extra critters i would not recommend including extra animals. you're somewhat close to to approximately what proportion fish you will possibly desire to have now and including extra animals will in basic terms make any potential algae subject worse besides to the different problems of overstocking. it fairly is even earlier you communicate approximately that "algae eaters" are fairly scavengers and convey lots extra waste then different comparable length animals.
