It just means you're able to think and speak in two languages. This doesn't mean that a person's smarter. Many people are bilingual because they grew up with two languages. Some are even multi-lingual. A Belgian friend of mine speaks the Flemish dialect of Dutch, regular Dutch, French and English -- all perfectly. His father is Flemish and his mother is French, and he had to learn English in school since it's required in Belgium. He's a smart guy, but not more than the average educated person.

not via any skill. I even have had some bilingual people who worked for me when I controlled a carlot that could desire to extremely wash the vehicle yet they spoke English and Spanish o.k.. Heaven forbid you ask them to characteristic up some numbers. it relies upon on the guy, not what share languages they communicate.

The short answer is No. Almost anyone can learn a second language. I know of no research addressing this issue, and find it difficult to envision an experiment which would shed much light on the matter.

being bilingual just means you have the capacity to know two languages, but it doesnt mean your brain is smarter... there are people who speak only one language, but that doesnt mean they can only speak one language as well.
