control panel.... add/remove programs and uninstall........

Windows can not be uninstalled. It can be disabled with IE Tools / Options (keep going, it is there, you want to UNcheck the box that says "let messenger run in the background"

sorry I don't remember the entire path but I got you started.

If you meant MSN messenger-- it is in Add / Remove Programs.

Open "Control Panel". Classic view, click "Add/remove programs". On the left, click on "Add/remove Windows Components". Scroll down to "Windows Messenger" and uncheck it. Click "Next".

to uninstall most programs from your compy, go to your control panel and open add/remove programs and you'll see a list of all the programs you've got, and you can uninstall it there by clicking the button labeled 'change/remove' or sometimes just 'remove' depending.

Go to control panel and choose 'add remove programs' there you'll see all the installed programs in your pc choose what you want to uninstall there and walk through the prompts.....

add/remove programs
then go to windows components
and unclick windows messenger

Just click on your desktop icon with a right click...go to delete...then it will talk about short cut...blah blah...on the bottom you will notice the option to go to remove/delete programs...click it...then you have a window pop up with all your programs to erease.....it is alphabetical...find it thne remove it...BINGO!
