Windows can not be uninstalled. It can be disabled with IE Tools / Options (keep going, it is there, you want to UNcheck the box that says "let messenger run in the background"
sorry I don't remember the entire path but I got you started.
If you meant MSN messenger-- it is in Add / Remove Programs.

Open "Control Panel". Classic view, click "Add/remove programs". On the left, click on "Add/remove Windows Components". Scroll down to "Windows Messenger" and uncheck it. Click "Next".

to uninstall most programs from your compy, go to your control panel and open add/remove programs and you'll see a list of all the programs you've got, and you can uninstall it there by clicking the button labeled 'change/remove' or sometimes just 'remove' depending.

Just click on your desktop icon with a right click...go to delete...then it will talk about short cut...blah blah...on the bottom you will notice the option to go to remove/delete programs...click it...then you have a window pop up with all your programs to erease.....it is alphabetical...find it thne remove it...BINGO!
