Why do you think shy people are shy?

I think shy people are shy becuase they either are afraid of what people will say to them when they do speak or there really upset about something in the past.I think we should give SHY PEOPLE A BREAK!!!! :)

I think most people are complete turds and wastes of skin, so I don't want to deal with them or have them around me. A lot of people think I'm shy, but really, I just hate people.

I used to be shy, I don't know why maybe I thought too much and didn't take action. I could've also been afraid of others' reactions, or maybe the embarassment of having them misinterpret what you're saying. I'm trying to urge this girl to stop being shy, she doesn't talk unless she's talked to and she looks like she has no freinds because she doesn't talk. From my expierience and seeing her I think shy people aren't bullied but avoided and given little attention which can be worse because when you're bullied people know your name and you get some attention.

Some people are that way by nature. Some are like that due to events in their lives that cause them to withdraw into shyness rather than face new people or situations.

I think shy people aren't really shy they just lack the confidence in themselves to speak up. They may not feel good about themselves. They need to feel safe and comfortable for them to open up.
