this what i am planing to do with it. I surf the net thru a high speed connection. I am a medium core computer gamer. i burn CDs. i am going to connect a wireless router to the computer and broadcast the high speed internet to the rest of my house. I also need to know what is the best type of processor inorder to run all of these aplications because i have haerd that some are good for computer gaming but others are only good for office orianted tasks like networking and data sharing. so what is the best mother board and processor.
Also what is the best ram memory on the market today, also what is the best cd-r,cd-rw,dvd-r,dvd-rw drive. What is the proper name for a network interface card and if i am looking for it on a web site what do i look under.

Tigerdirect.com. That will answer all of your questions. Best processors? The new Intel Core Duos. Get the socket 775 mobo and processor. Also, I'd get a DVD rom and a DVD-RW. Get at least 2Gb of Memory. Crucial is likely the best Ram for Gaming, and since you do that sometimes, It's best to have it there when you need it. The proper name is a LAN card. Look under the networking tab for network cards.

Footnote, if you already have the router, look and see what speed it operates at. If it's 54Mbps, the you need not go over 100 Megs on your NIC card, but if you have 108Mbps router, I'd strongly suggest a Gigbit LAN. It will handle anything you throw at it, plus allow faster file sharing. You can pass me an email if ya have anymore questions.
