A USB flash drive is a compact USB flash memory drive that acts like a portable hard drive, letting you store and transport your most precious computer data. Flash Drives are also called USB Storage Drives or something. It is pretty much an external device which you can save virtually any file to it. The average flash drive is probably 128 or 256 MB (you can get anything from 32MB to 4Gigs)! As long as the file is within the storage limit you can save it on the drive. then you can take the drive put it on another computer and put the file on that computer!

A flash drive is basically a small little drive that can fit in the palm of your hand and can store anywhere up to 4 GB of information. They use USB so you can use them on ANY OS and it won't mess up your information. They're small because they don't require batteries to store the information.

Flash Drives are small drive ussally you can fit on a keyring, and it plugs into the computer by usb. Ussally in 90%+ cases you dont need any software to run them. so it is portable. and they come in many diffrent sizes. ussally the lowest one is 32m or you can get 64, 128,256, 1g, even 2g. 64m would typically hold 40 pictures or 10 songs as an example. It makes it easier to transfer files from computer to computer.

They are modern devices to store information/data like a floppy disk...but more reliable..

flash drives are gay. dont get one. its like a floppy disk kind of thing, but different and holds alot more info than a floppy. it a usb device. your better off using cds or memory sticks.
