Five years is a big gap when you are this age. When I was 15 I dated a 21 year old (who told me he was 18), he was my first sexual partner and what a mistake (for many reasons).

At 21 she can drive a car, have a steady job, nearly be done with college, marry, have children, vote, smoke, get a loan or mortgage, and many things you cannot do. At 16 you are still in high school.

Be honest, bite the bullet and tell her the truth that you have a bit of a crush on her (don't tell her you love her to death that's a bit much) - just tell her you want to be with her and hang out and see what happens, no pressure. I can understand why you have a crush on her and I'm not saying don't go out with her and have fun. But be realistic and don't lose your head, most likely she will settle down with someone older.

No. This will NEVER work. Not now anyway. A girl's maturity is usually about 5 years older than her real age. A boy's maturity is usually about 5 years younger than his real age. So that means you (an 11 year old) would be dating her (a 26 year old). Wait until you're at least 18 (you are technically illegal for her to date).

No! Wait til she's 18. It's cleary "jail bait", to put it lightly.

If your motives are true, then you can wait a couple of years. In the meantime, remain friends with her by seeing her WITH other groups of people (not a date). Get to know her and then see if you feel the same after two years!

Good Luck, honey! I just hate to see you get into any trouble over this and that IS a risk you are taking. I don't know this gal at all, but how well do YOU know her?

A 21yr old has no reason to date a 16yr old! It's only 5 yrs but there is a big gap of maturity there...if this girl acts her age.

of course. it's just a relationship with a 5 year age difference. my parents are 5 years apart and have been married for 35 years. they got married when she was 20 and he was 25. anything is possible.

YES !!! , but always keep in mind what other people will think of her and that at this age it will not last. I say go for it. JulyBaby did and had no more regrets than when she dated guys her age and older. All men are big ole babies anyway!!

Not going to be rube but be with someone your own age. She might want to have sex with you or whatever else. (It happens) Just find a nice pretty gurl who you like that is either and year older or younger.

at 21 all she would do is use you.

Don't do this. Even though you're not looking for sex, there's no guarantee that it wouldn't come up sooner or later. This can present some serious legal problems for her.

She's probably not looking for that much younger. Not many women will go more than 1 year younger.
