It varies widely but these are good estimates. The hospital will set up a payment schedule with you. there's no intrest and as long as you don't get behind it's not bad, they may base it on income so it's something you can afford. P.S. it's always worth it to check into medicaid, they'll cover every thing or pick up what regular insurance won't if you qualify.

Unmed hospital birth with OB
About $2000 for doc's fees (including prenatal and postpartum care). Insurance paid most, we paid like $800.
I don't remember how much the hospital's fee was....I think it was a little over $1,000 - insurance took care of all but a small copay I think.
Unmed birth center birth with midwife
I think we paid around $2,500 total.
Homebirth with midwife
$2500 for prenatal/birth plus about another $500 for postpartum/antibiotics/baby care afterwards.

The bill for the birth of my son was about $25,000. It included only labor, delivery, and he did have to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks. I got so lucky that my insurance paid all of it.

about 7 grand for natural birth with drugs and about 12 -14 grand for a c-section. That includes 2-4 days in the hospital. That's what we average here in Ohio

For me:
Prenatal care (including all sonograms, labs, tests, etc.): $15,000
Labor & delivery: $5,000
Newborn (nursery, tests, labs, etc).: $4,000
This was in Texas, but I had a few complications and additional testing required. And my OB was expensive!!! :) But worth it... My insurance paid roughly 85% after it was all said and done. I still owe about $500 after 8 months, but I had to haggle with the insurance company for 6 1/2 months...

it varies. depends on if you use medications, if you have to be induced if you have the baby naturally, if you have to have special assistance (clamps, suction, ect) and if you take any medicines when you are recovering (take your own, tylenol is like 8 dollars)
I had an epidural and later a c-section my delivery was just over 17,000
